Hot Rod Revolution
The Seaholm Power Plant is a gorgeous art deco style decommissioned power plant in downtown Austin, TX. Although it's scheduled for redevelopment, in the meantime it's primarily used to host events, concerts, and best of all car shows.
The Hot Rod Revolution is a pretty small annual show, focusing exclusively on pre-1948 hot rods. The venue for this year's event was the Seaholm Power Plant, and couldn't think of a better place to photograph these beautiful cars.
I just love the industrial art deco style of this building. I've been hoping to get a chance to photograph it since I moved to Austin, however it's closed to the public unless there's an event on. The best I'd been able to do is get the smokestacks in a couple of shots.
Of course, this particular post being about a car show I couldn't resist the now obligatory wheel-reflection self portrait:
Be sure to check out the rest of my set of photos from the show.
